Dominic Smyth

Dominic is Cinven’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. He is a Partner and Chair of the firm’s Operating Committee.

Prior to joining Cinven, Dominic spent nearly 27 years at Deutsche Bank across the Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and Sales and Trading divisions. He served as Global COO of the Investment Bank and a member of the Investment Bank Executive Committee, a role he held for five years.

Previously, Dominic held a series of senior COO positions at Deutsche Bank spanning Global Corporate Finance, Corporate and Investment Banking EMEA, and Global Capital Markets. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of Deutsche Numis, where he was a member of the audit, risk and remuneration committees.

Dominic has a Bachelor of Business Studies (Finance) from Trinity College Dublin, and also spent time at Senshu University, Tokyo, studying International Business.

He joined Cinven in 2026.
