Dr Christoph Mahnke will assume the position of CEO and managing director of SYNLAB Holding Deutschland GmbH effective 1 October 2016. SYNLAB Holding Deutschland is the German subsidiary of Europe's largest laboratory services provider SYNLAB.
"We are very pleased that we attracted Dr Mahnke, an expert with extensive experience in the healthcare sector", said Dr Bartl Wimmer, CEO of SYNLAB Group. "We are convinced that together we will successfully drive SYNLAB's growth in Germany", Wimmer continued.
Since 2007, Mahnke has been managing Asklepios Kliniken in Hamburg, Germany - a hospital group with 14,000 employees and revenues of EUR 1.2 billion - as one of three managing directors. Prior to this, he was managing director of Schön Kliniken in Hamburg. Before joining Schön Kliniken, he worked for the international management consulting firm Boston Consulting Group for five years, focusing on the healthcare industry, amongst others on companies in the fields of diagnostics, pharma, biotech and health insurance.
