CPA Global, the world's leading specialist in intellectual property (IP) software and services, today announced the acquisition of premier US-based IP search and analytics software provider Innography.

The acquisition further strengthens CPA Global's technology and analytics capabilities, while providing Innography with access to a worldwide client network and complementary software and services offerings. The combination will create a set of powerful and innovative IP management solutions. The Innography management team will remain with the Company as part of the CPA Global group.

Innography was founded in 2006 with a vision to bring 'big data' analytics to the IP market and position the role of IP-related insights at the forefront of business decision-making. Innography correlates information on nearly 100 million worldwide patents with financial, litigation, market and business data, using advanced machine learning techniques to enhance data quality and provides compelling visualisations to quickly generate insights.

The acquisition complements CPA Global's purchase of industry-leading Patent Search and Analytics service provider Landon IP in 2014. The integration of Innography into CPA Global's suite of IP solutions will enable clients to incorporate the best available information into their IP and business decision-making, enhancing their IP management capabilities. It also underlines CPA Global's commitment to broaden its range of best-in-class solutions, delivered to the world's most successful corporations and law firms.

The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Portico Capital Securities LLC advised Innography on the transaction.
