Hugh joined Cinven in 1991 and managed Cinven’s Paris office from 2001 to 2006. Hugh became Managing Partner in 2009 and subsequently served as Executive Chairman from 2015 until August 2018 when he became a Board Director of the managing entities of the Cinven Funds.

Before joining Cinven, Hugh worked at Bain & Company and Citigroup in London and Paris.

Hugh holds degrees from the University of Edinburgh, Harvard University and London Business School.
