Frans Bonhomme was the leading distributor of PVC tubes and pipe fittings in France. The business drivers included increased civil works and public spending on equipment, EU regulations on water treatment (which favoured plastic substitution) and overall construction maintenance, repair and improvement.
In December 2013, Cinven sold its majority shareholding in Frans Bonhomme, retaining a minority stake in the business until July 2014.
