The CBR fashion chain is one of the fastest growing women’s clothing companies in Europe.
The business has a network of store partners, which operate from standing stores, as well as in-store shops and multi-label stores. CBR has three key brands: Street One, Cecil and One Touch.
Cinven was working with the management team to develop the business and drive growth by continuing to roll out the brands in the core countries; by further developing the international presence; and by supporting the new One Touch brand.
This strategy was implemented successfully: under Cinven’s ownership the number of partnership stores was increased to 850 in CBR’s core markets, the number of in-store shops to over 1,500 and the number of multi-label stores to over 5,600. Turnover grew continuously at double digit rates to more than €600m.
CBR was sold in April 2007.
