CPA Global joins CNA’s expanded Allied Vendor Program
US insurer's law firm clients benefit from access to innovative IP risk control tools
CPA Global, the world's leading provider of intellectual property (IP) management software and services, has joined CNA's expanded Lawyers' Allied Vendor Program for professional liability policyholders, providing the US insurer's law firm clients with access to a range of innovative IP risk control tools.
Working with over 50,000 law firms and more than 150,000 lawyers across the country, CNA provides professional indemnity coverage to more lawyers than any other carrier in the US. Through its Allied Vendor Program, CNA teams up with service providers in a number of fields who can assist the insurer's clients in mitigating risk.
CPA Global offers Risk Control solutions to law firms to guard against the financial and professional risk inherent in managing intellectual property assets.
The cornerstone of CPA Global's Risk Control solutions is its patent renewals service, which enables law firms to improve their risk profile by disengaging from renewal payment responsibilities, while ensuring that their clients' IP rights remain protected and safely maintained. Over 100 US law firms have transitioned away from renewals payment responsibilities by using CPA Global's renewals service, in many cases resulting in reductions in excess of $1 million in annual professional indemnity insurance premiums. Other CPA Global services in this area include: IDS Management; Docketing; File Intake Support; Software Conversion Support; and Post-grant Support.
Michael Barrett, Director of Risk at CNA (North America), commented: "CPA Global offers a range of services which help our law firm clients better manage risk. CNA is excited to have CPA Global in our Allied Vendor Program."
Forrest Porterfield, Senior Vice President, Americas at CPA Global, added: "We are delighted that CNA has invited CPA Global to join their Allied Vendor Program. We have been providing Risk Control solutions to law firms for over 40 years and are pleased our strong track record in delivering these services has been recognised by CNA.
With IP practices in law firms facing increased workloads and ongoing pressure on resources, we are seeing greater demand for support with renewals payments and other IP services. We look forward to developing our relationship with CNA and helping more law firms mitigate their IP management risk."
