Coor and Borealis extend collaboration
Borealis has selected Coor Service Management as its provider of integrated support services for a minimum of another three years. The total value of this deal is approximately SEK 240 m.
Borealis manufactures products including plastic raw material for pipe systems and power and communication cables, as well as complex packaging.
This agreement between Coor an Borealis involves Coor continuing to develop and deliver integrated workplace and property services at Borealis's Stenungssund plant in Sweden. The total approximate value of the contract is SEK 240 m over its three-year term. There is a further two-year extension option.
The assignment will mean Coor delivering support services for 1,300 employees, and delivering property services for 140 buildings of approximately 135,000 m2. These services include conversion and extension, snow clearance, recycling, reception, switchboard, mail management, restaurant and cleaning. Coor will also be responsible for security and guarding.
"We're thrilled and proud that Borealis has selected Coor as its service management provider. We'll keep developing our support services alongside Borealis so they fit Borealis's needs over time," commented Ulf Wretskog, President of Coor Service Management Sweden.
This agreement is the result of a European tender, which Borealis conducted with the aim of harmonizing and developing FM delivery at the company's European plants, and ensuring that it has the best possible partner for this process.
"The reason for our choice was that this delivery is working really well. Coor understands and complies with Borealis's internal processes and security work, and they are open and flexible to adapting to Borealis's local and central requirements of FM services and our needs," responded Lars Wiberg, Manager, Plant Availability & Engineering at Borealis.
