Business description
Maxeda is the largest non-food retailer in the Benelux region, operating formats that, at the time of the acquisition by Cinven, ranged from department stores to 'do it yourself' (DIY) and specialty stores. Today, the group comprises brands within two divisions: Fashion and DIY.
Cinven strategy
Together with its partners in this investment, Cinven is implementing a strategy to focus Maxeda on its core retailing business with improvements in targeted areas that include purchasing (Asian sourcing), supply chain, cost reductions and working capital management. We have also strengthened the management team.
